Our Engagement with DAPs

Disabled Affected Persons (DAPs) are individuals living with physical, sensory, intellectual, or psychosocial disabilities who are impacted by disasters, conflicts, or other emergencies. At ADRA, DAPs are recognized as a highly vulnerable group who often face unique challenges in accessing aid, protection, and recovery services. Ensuring their inclusion is not only a matter of equity but also of dignity and human rights. We place special focus on DAPs to remove barriers, provide tailored support, and promote active participation in rebuilding resilient communities.
