With US $51 million from USAID, ADRA implemented the Title II Food Security Program across Ghana’s Northern and Coastal Savannah, Transitional Zone, and rural forest areas, reaching over 30,000 households—more than 300,000 resource-poor smallholder farmers.

Among them were 38 blind farmers in the Upper West Region, who received agricultural inputs, technical training, and support to cultivate soybeans, cashews, and dry-season gardens. They were also trained in savings, record‑keeping, and organic farming to improve yields and sustainability, fostering inclusion and economic empowerment.

Under the later EU-funded Northern Ghana Food Security Resilience Project (NGFSRP), ADRA extended similar support to additional blind farmers in the region.
